Steinhatchee River Development Company is located in Steinhatchee, Florida. All of the company's developments incorporate unique "Lifestyle" concepts and exceptional locations. The company is completely responsible for design, concept, marketing, and construction of these distinctive properties. The company, together with our general contractors partners, have been building homes in South Florida since 1988.
We have several different "Old Florida Cracker" style homes, each incorporating the original and unique architectural styling, which made these homes so recognized. From the time the first Florida settlers build their homes, until modern day, these "Old Florida" styles have become internationally renowned. Today's home, although incorporating all the modern, engineering and structural design, still keep true to the "original" architectural flair and "lifestyle" features for which these "original" homes are famous for.
Another project currently under development is Valencia Landings, it is a 201 single-family estate lot development in historic Labelle, Florida. The project is being developed on 170 acres of pristine orange grove land just off the Caloosahatchee River.
In other areas of Florida the company is actively developing projects in Steinhatchee in Dixie and Taylor County, on Florida's northern Gulf coast. These new projects include Steinhatchee River Lodge located where Gulf Stream Marina and Motel currently resides along the Steinhatchee River, which we are developing into a 52-unit condo resort. RiverWalk is a riverfront enclave of six town-homes with 4 common docks and a community pool. Fisherman's Village development is a 50 cabin RV campground with an "old Florida" cottage style feel development, which is located very close to the Steinhatchee River Lodge and the community boat ramp. Also under development planning is Cypress Creek, a 102-acre property just off the north end of the river in Steinhatchee. Our plans will be to develop a full service RV resort community.
All of our planning and marketing of our projects are focused on the "Baby Boomer" and "Echo Boomer" generation. Fifty million "Boomers" are looking for second homes, real estate investments, or retirement, now and in the next fifteen years. A substantial portion of those "Boomers" are heading to where it is sunny, warm, and where boating and fishing can become a favorite pastime. Our focus is on selling and closing the campground sites first. This addresses the largest segment of the "Boomer" population who want to buy or invest now and build later.
